DR CARL PHYSIOTHERAPY DEPARTMENT
The
department is the rehabilitation unit of the hospital and takes care
of both Out patients and Inpatient who need physiotherapy
intervention. Day to day work concerns care of patients with
degenerative and traumatic conditions, congenital malformations e.g
of the nervous and musculo skeletal system.
The
team coordinates
- specialist visits of Dr Staal and team twice a year from the Netehrlands and TUWT, orthopedic surgeons from Bugando Medical Centre (5X)
- Clubfoot clinic ponsetti casting. Supported by Tanzania Clubfoot Care Organization with funds from MIRACLE FEET Canada.

Cleft lip and malnutrion clinic once a month.

A Physiotherapy project aiming at assisting about 85 handicapped children in Sengerema and Buchosa districts. Home visits and school visits are also done.
